Fiends

Fiends are demon like creatures of nightmares and stories of them are often used to scare children into behaving. Fiends can change their shapes and can appear however they like. Known forms are male, female, shadows etc.

Knowing a fiend's name gives you some form of control over them. This is how you can enter in a contract with one, but it is a secret that a fiend will never share willingly with outsideres. Their true name is connected to their spirit (alignment)
