The Draconis Clan
The Legacy Clan
Once, in a time long forgotten, the world was a realm of majestic dragons.
These powerful creatures soared through the skies, their mighty wings casting shadows upon the land below. But as much as their presence inspired awe, it also instilled fear in the hearts of the people who inhabited the ancient cities.
The dragons possessed a devastating force that could reduce cities to ruin with a single breath of fire. Terrified, the people sought to protect themselves from the destructive power of the dragons. They devised a plan to eradicate these magnificent creatures from the world, driven by fear and the desire to harness the dragons' scales and formidable capabilities for their own benefit.
Driven by their ambition, the people embarked on a relentless campaign againstt the dragons. With every encounter, the dragons fell, their numbers dwindling until they neared the brink of extinction. However, the insatiable thirst for near indestructible armor and other valuable resources persisted within the heats of the people.
Amidst this alarming pursuit, a select few individuals recognized the dire consequences of their actions. They understood that by disturbing the natural balance of the world, they risked bringing about their own downfall. In a display of wisdom and compassion, these enlightened souls formed a pact to never harm another dragon again. Instead, they would protect and nurture the remaining creatures, seeking to restore harmony and equilibrium to the world.
Thus, the Draconis Clan was born, an assembly predominantly composed of wise and graceful elves. The clan held a profound belief that dragons were not mere creatures of this world but guardians of the celestial realms. They saw the dragons as divine beings, entrusted by the creator of the world with the task of maintaining cosmic order.
Despite their newfound alliance with the dragons, the clan members were not immune to the perilous nature of these creatures. Dragons, driven by their predatory instincts and relentless hunger, occasionally attacked and killed people from the Draconis clan. Nevertheless, the clan remained resolte, understanding that supporting the dragons was necessary to restore balance to a world teetering on the edge of chaos.
As time went on, the numbers of dragons diminished further, until only a handful remained. To satisfy their need for destruction ans sustenance, the dragons turned to feeding on lost wanderers who unwittingly ventured too close to their hidden lairs. It was a grim, sacrifice, but the clan accepted it as part of their duty to maintain harmony and protect the fragile balance of the world.
Gradually, the dragons withdrew from the world's gaze, retreating to secluded caves and inhospitable environments where no daring soul would dare to venture. The world, unaware of the dragons' continued existence, believed the Draconis clan to be nothing more than a myth, a figment of imagination lost in the annals of time.
And so, the Draconis clan perseveres to this day, hidden from the world's prying eyes. They tirelessly work to aid the remaining dragons, keeping their existence a closely guarded secret. The world may have forgotten the dragons, but the Draconis clan knows their importance in restoring balance and safeguarding the delicate tapestry of creation. For as long as they endure, the clan remains the silent protectors of a world that owes its stability to the hidden myth they embody.
When the group met the clan and learned of Ayla's family, they offered her trial involving a knife, a glas with green liquid, a blindfold and mushed up goodberries. Ayla drank and was wildly hallucinating seeing things about the clans history, and hearing a dragon heart beating. She was deemed pure (enough) and trustworthy.
